Rediscover North Carolina
North Carolina offers a variety of attractions and activities. Carolina’s sandy beaches and the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains are a couple of the traditional attractions. There are also some less conventional getaways such as skydiving in Louisburg, hot air ballooning in Asheville, Whitewater Rafting and Rock Climbing in Banner Elk, and gem mining in Franklin. All of these destinations are in close proximity to Guilford County. On Visit NC web site you can obtain special exhibits and events around the state. Additionally, there is a searchable database to find the detailed information for your next adventure. > Visit

Recycling
Recycling can be confusing. What can be recycled and what cannot? Both the city of High Point and of Greensboro have specific guidelines on what is recyclable.
The basic guidelines are:
1. Aluminum and metal cans but not foil and pie pans.
2. Glass jars, glass bottles, and other glass products.
3. Only plastic products with a #1 or a #2 on them.
4. Clean paper products that are without wax, oil or food residues, newspapers, magazines, etc.
