Navigating the Caregiving Maze

A Panel Discussion for Caregivers of Older Adults Senior Resources of Guilford will sponsor a panel discussion for caregivers of older adults, on Friday, March 12 from 2-4 p.m., at the Oak Ridge Town Hall, 8315 Linville Road in Oak Ridge. The workshop, “Navigating the Caregiving Maze”, addresses communication challenges facing caregivers of older adults. The speakers and topics of discussion are as follows:

• “40/70 Rule: Bridging the Generation Gap” Leslie Sanders, Community Service Representative, HomeInstead Senior Care

• “Simplifying the Complex: Tips on Talking to Medical Professionals” Jerry Chance, RN, Parish Nurse, Oak Ridge United Methodist Church

• “Communicating with an Older Adult: How to Overcome Barriers” Evelyn Yalung, Community Relations Director, Options for Senior America.
